Saying that the men on our gift list are hard to buy for sounds like a glib complaint. But for many of us, it’s truly an inescapable reality.

In fact, I just heard about one man who is so desperate to stop the flow of useless gifts and Santa Claus-covered garments coming his way that he begged his wife to send an email to both of their mothers saying, “Unless he can eat it, smoke it, or drink it, please don’t send it.”

That is a bit extreme, yes. But let’s face it another tie box under the tree represents a big pain in the neck for most men. And I have always felt that fellows should pick out their own power tools.
