Holiday, 2007 >> Celebrate Our Pets
Unconditional Love

Earlier this year I lost my beloved Wheaten terrier Ruffie and my cat Nicky. Sharing Ruffie’s story with you resulted in an outpouring of supportive email. In turn, you shared your pet stories and pictures with me -- so thoughtful and helpful during a difficult time.

As I reflect on the ups and downs of the past year one thread of happiness holds constant: the love of my dogs (and horses and cats). Only a pet lover can understand the unconditional love that comes from our four-legged friends. Nothing can take your blood pressure down, turn your frown to a smile, and banish your tears like the love of a pet.

I cannot imagine my life without animals around me. In this story you will be introduced to Teddy “Bear” and Dust Bunny “Dusty,” our newest family members. Bear and Dusty were pressed into service along with Lucky, my West Highland Terrier, and Bambi, my (very overweight) Dachshund, as models for the Travels with Tiger collection. They had me smiling ear-to-ear as they posed perfectly (most of the time, that is) for each photo. Photographing the collection inspired me to create a photo montage of my Weatherstone pet family through the seasons. Enjoy!
