I am a lifetime collector of many things including linens, containers, china, and flatware. If it has to do with tables and decorating, I probably have a stash. I admittedly have a tendency to horde–I still have inexpensive vases (and I do mean inexpensive) from my first bachelorette apartment. Every year I get the urge to pare down and simplify my life, but the bric-a-brac conjures up memories and I end up inventing reasons to keep everything.

Sadly, I had a wonderful collection of 19th century, multicolored bells that I lost when Weatherstone burned down. This fact probably strengthens my desire—and feeds my inner packrat—to keep what survived the blaze.
