As an avid gardener, I wanted to create a wedding spread that evokes the feeling of walking through a lush English garden, focusing on the delightful combination of purples and greens. I never tire of the bright and beautiful hyacinths, pansies, violets, violas and Johnny-Jump-Ups which line the paths and adorn the pots of Weatherstone.
Using a few of the papers available in my Collection carries out the cheerful yet refined look. First off, I asked the queen of cakes, Sylvia Weinstock, to reinterpret our green eyelet paper, only in reverse. The outcome is a confection that coordinates in a playful and less literal way to all of the favors and packages.
Another element of this tablescape I paid particular attention to is the combination of textures. Pairing the Blind Earl-inspired leaf plates with the smooth Limoges and the clean lines of the tulip glasses adds a gorgeous visual punch and keeps the overall look from feeling too frilly.

Texture plays a key roll here with the deep relief of the eyelet paper, the silky flowers (both real and faux), the metalic smoothness of the sterling candies, and the reverse eyelet and taffeta ribbon on the flower-crowned cake. To see more ideas for this Collection, please click the above link.
