Mother’s Day
May 2006
At Weatherstone, few things are more exciting this time of year than making the rounds in my gardens to see which plants and flowers are coming back. It's thrilling to watch the foliage filling in and to coax any of the plants that need extra help.

I always plant scads of pansies and violets. I can't resist these mostly purple blooms that are so versatile for both growing and cutting. And this year, I am thrilled to use all flowers we have grown in my new working greenhouse.

Also, one must not forget that Mother's Day is upon us. I have some wonderful ideas for spoiling your own mom, grandmother, aunt or whomever you like to honor on this important holiday. Take delight in the details and enjoy making her day!
