Valentine’s Day
February 2007
Greetings from Aspen where I am enjoying the outdoors and getting to know the newest addition to the family, Dusty (short for Dust Bunny). She’s an adorable Havanese terrier puppy, who despite her diminutive size can hold her own with Lucky and the rest of the pack.
I love this winter wonderland covered in white and topped with the bluest skies the mind’s eye could ever imagine. Although there has been plenty of snow to enjoy lots of cross-country skiing, I sadly missed the big powder days in January due to a previously scheduled trip. Like any good ski-town dweller, I am crossing my fingers for lots more snow in February.
Despite the unique beauty of an alpine winter, I can’t help but dream about spring and summer and my gardens at Weatherstone. For a glimpse of what is to come, see this month’s Rose story. I am eagerly looking forward to digging in and working with the new gardener who is joining our team this year. I am fond of the collaborative process that make my blossoming visions a reality.
I am also busy putting the finishing touches on the Spring Collection, which will include an introduction to my new Wedding Collection—an announcement I am thrilled to share here.
Please stay tuned!
