Sweet Memories
Creating a one-of-a kind photo album or memory book is sure to enchant mom or grandma this Mother’s Day.

Photo Album:
Tackling heaps of family photos can be a daunting task best tamed by choosing a theme. Here are some ways to whittle down your options:
  • Choose photos from your childhood and set an arbitrary cut off, like a particular Christmas or graduation, and work backward from there.
  • Is your mother an especially involved grandmother to your children? Fill the album with photos of the kids. Include any special snaps of her “being grandma.”
  • Use only black and white photos.
  • Dedicate the pages to a special time you and your mother shared like a trip, charity work, or a big project you completed together.

Carolyne RoehmMemory Book:
If you are planning a Mother’s Day filled with family, friends, a special outing or party, make a memory book to give to your mother afterward.

  • Include photos taken throughout the day or event. Be sure to snap lots of pictures of mom and the other special people who are participating.
  • Press a flower from her Mother’s Day bouquet.
  • Include ticket stubs or other scrap book-worthy items.
  • Include her place card and menu or the event’s program.
  • Snap a picture of the table or venue.
  • Ask other participants to jot down notes or memories to be presented to her in the album.
